As you know, SaiPhifer.com loves breaking emerging artists and we have to say that one in particular has recently caught our ears and thank goodness for the ladies he's not bad to look at either.
We recently had the opportunity to interview PULE on the verge of releasing his official video for
"Told you" ft Pat24$even and asked him a few questions that would help us know him just a little better. Trust us, you might want to get familiar with him right now. (Check out the interview below & watch his latest visual produced by J.O.N)
On where the name PULE comes from: My name is actually my father's middle name (That ni**as first name is Reggie,aint that somethin Lol). It means Rain, and originates in South Africa which is also my birth place.
On his music and who he caters to: My music is primarily a recap of my thoughts and my experiences. Its personal and quite therapeutic. I'm intrigued by lyrics and substance, but I'm southern so I make sure my shit rides like it's supposed to, Lol. With that being said, it's for everybody who enjoys authenticity and emotion in their music. I want to be considered the "People's Champ" somewhat.. if that makes any sense.
On who he compares himself to in the industry: I've been compared to a lot of my favorite rappers actually. J. Cole and "early" Kanye are the two most common. I appreciate artists who reveal Real Life on records and look to be respcted as an artist who does the same. I guess this is where our similarities lie.
As far as comparing Myself with anyone, not at all. Don't think rappers should do that.
On what we can look forward to in terms of his music: Basically the last couple months of my career have been dedicated to
complete work mode. The goal is to compile as many records as we can so
I'm armed for the entire year. I'm currently working on my first EP
tentatively entiltled "P.U.L.E" (Push Until Life Ends) and I'm also on
collabs with a gang of artists as well. So you will be hearing a good
amount ALL of this in the Fall.
PULE'S message to upcoming artists: The only advice I can give that has proven to be true is to Lose
yourself in your music. I think taking time to reflect on things you've
done and comparing your stuff to other peoples shit, etc. Honestly
stifles progression. My aim is to keep my eyes forward, and bust my ass
until Everybody is living like we suppose to be. So a consistent work
flow is the recipe for that.
On his type of woman and who he'd consider getting serious with: I'm glad you asked... Lol. I think I'm addicted to a woman with
ambition. Someone who has a strong passion for what she aspires to
achieve and is actively grinding to get that. Regardless of what she is
seeking (as long as it's not any frivolous superficial shit), I can
truly respect a woman that goes hard at what she loves to do. She also
gotta be Sexy as ever though, but that was understood right? Claire Huxtable is my dream wife, if that helps any. Hahaaa.
